Albums

Toto's discography comprises 13 studio albums and four live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before the formation of Toto the group, members worked as sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate, and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several demos and tapes from the past to release a special album called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans and the band embarked upon an extensive tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
