WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will display the preview of an Item level upgrade's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones.
